CORBA has been used in a variety of industries on real-world systems. Recognize that the problem domain that CORBA addresses, i.e., distributed computing, is a complex domain. CORBA provides infrastructure, services, and tools to develop solutions in this complex domain. Most successes and failures of CORBA should not be associated to the technology as a whole, but rather the use of the technology as part of an architecture.
