How can I work with MOSEL?

MOSEL works on the computers of the CIP-Pool and the sun workstations of Informatik 4. All users with a valid account on one of these machines can use MOSEL.

What have I to do?

The program package is distributed via the automounter. The directory of interest is /proj/i4mosel. The program binaries are in the subdirectory bin. The following lines have to be included in the .cshrc file in your HOME-directory:

set path=($path /proj/i4mosel/bin /local/duke/bin /local/tcl/bin)

These three paths are needed for (1) Mosel and IGL, (2) the SPNP solver package and (3) for the graphical package TCL/TK which is necessary for IGL.

How do I work with MOSEL?

First of all you have to build a model according to the syntax rules of MOSEL and save it to a file.

The most important command is mosel -cs filename.

Where can I get further help?
