Data Streams

  The data flow principle appears to be very useful for designing applications that process stream-like multimedia data. I will first discuss the data flow principle by means of an exemplary object-oriented framework developed by Gibbs et al., and will then demonstrate how network support can be integrated into a data-stream--oriented class hierarchy.
