Component architecture for Safety-critical embedded systems
Motivation
Component architectures have been very successful in software development in recent years. However, their use in the domain of embedded systems is still uncommon. One reason for this is a limited expressiveness of the current component models.
Research objectives and questions
The goal of this project is the development of a component model for use in safety-critical systems.
- How to support integrated modeling of specific functional and non-functional features?
- How to allow a model-based safety analysis?
- What are the effects of black-box reuse with respect to safety?
