Transmission of Multimedia Data

  In this chapter, I discuss the transmission aspects of multimedia data streams in more detail. Section presents the Internet Integrated Services extensions. Section reviews higher-level transport protocols that can be used on top of the common Internet protocols and that offer additional, desirable features for multimedia applications.
Applying these considerations, I will conclude this chapter with two case studies in Section .
